VANDOREN ALTO SAXOPHONE REED - TRADITIONAL.
The choice of professionals, teachers and students the world over. This reed is designed to produce a quality of extremely pure sound due to a very thin reed tip (the area of reed with maximum vibration), balanced by a solid vertebral column (more cane in the area which climbs gradually to the heel).

When these are good they are really good
Buying reeds is like buying lottery tickets. Sometimes you get a winning ticket! Same thing with reeds. The good ones are great, and the others vary in their usefulness. Some can be softened, some are just hard work, the rest feel rough to the touch and for me, go into the rejects pile.
