How to look after your instrument
Many of the repairs we undertake are a result of not assembling/ disassembling your instrument correctly or not cleaning properly after playing. Holding the keywork whilst putting the instrument together will, over time, cause damage (keys bent, posts out of align). Not cleaning the instrument after playing will result in increased wear to your pads/ corks etc. The videos below demonstrate the correct way to assemble and clean your instruments.
