This is a C. G. Conn M series 6M alto sax made in 1935 in Elkhart Indiana USA.
It was fully restored with premium calf pads -stripped, washed and rebuilt - 2 years ago and hardly used since.
This is from the great period of Conn manufacturing and is a superb example of the classic 6M alto sax. Arguably one of the most coveted alto saxes ever made, along with the King Super 20 and Selmer MKVI, the Conn 6M have been and continue to be used by some of the most famous players in history. This one plays incredibly well - super slick, positive action, spot on intonation and an absolute classic, killer, Conn tone! It can go loud and punchy or warm and fluffy with incredible speed - a really responsive pro sax!
This sax is in super clean condition - a fine example of a Conn, it looks great, super sharp engraving & fully operating micro tuner.
