BG CLARINET THUMB REST CUSHION - A21 A23

I have been asked to review the BG CLARINET THUMB REST CUSHION at £2.79 from Curly Woodwind. What a pleasure and an honour! What can I say? It's a rubber clarinet thumb rest cushion, by which I do not mean that it is a thumb rest cushion for a rubber clarinet, nor indeed that it's utility is confined to players with a rubber thumb... I have to assume that its carbon footprint is not enormous and I doubt that too many fish are currently choking on thumb rest cushions in the world's oceans, which is encouraging in this day and age. Also, on the plus side - What a bargain! £2.79 is SO much cheaper than £2.80 that when I saw the price, I felt compelled to buy two! Both thumb rest cushions arrived promptly in a classy, bijou, cardboard clarinet thumb rest cushion box (by which I do not mean that they are only designed for cardboard clarinets...) as those who have had the pleasure of viewing my "BG Clarinet Thumb Rest Cushion Unboxing" video on YouTube will already be well aware. The only thing that does concern me somewhat is the question of WHY on earth the thumb deserves a rest cushion when it's the other fingers that are manifestly doing all the work!? It seems like a blatant injustice to me. Nevertheless, phalangeal inequality issues aside, I am more than happy to give this invaluable item the thumbs up.

You need this if you are to hold the instrument for some time. Makes a big difference to comfort.
