4 star not because of any dip in quality but more so that they may need a bit of time for a player to warm up to them. Personally, I'm loving these reeds, they are giving me a lovely tone on my LeBlanc, with a quality that seems to beat out my previous daily driver of Vandoren 56 (though, as with the nature of cane reeds, I could have just been lucky with my selections). Should also add that I find that, when fresh, the table on these reeds can be a bit rough. A few swipes with a ReedGeek, however, leaves them perfect -- to the point where I have yet to have a pop-test seal fail on my with one on the mouthpiece. Highly recommend that you pick up 2-3 and give them a try in your reed rotation, chances are you won't be disappointed.
